Ideal Beach Decent beach if you like floating or swimming. Minimal waves but the water was murky and left our swim suits tinted brown. The sand is less like sand and more like mushy crushed up shells until you get several feet off of shore and then it’s hard crushed up shells. It was much less crowded than Asbury Park beach. You do have to pay for parking but beach entry is free. It was patrolled by police on quads pretty regularly.

Raritan Bay Brewering Great microbrewery with a nice tasting look and patio out in back. There is a good selection of beers with both regular size glasses as well as flights available. The “bartender” was very friendly and helpful. After trying a flight of several of their beers, the bartender suggested their Steamboat Wit. In spite of the higher ABV%, this is a very smooth delicious beer, not overwhelming. The bartender also welcomed comments about the other beers. They also allow outside food to be brought in. Well worth the visit!

Keansburg Amusement Park NJ’s full-sized family water park with rides and attractions for all ages. Over 19 slides of varying heights and speeds and a huge kids’ lagoon area w/interactive water play and mini slides. Relax in the many chairs w/optional sun umbrella and enjoy full menu at Toucon Grill. Keansburg Amusement Park is located across the street so combine both parks for a full day of fun.

Polar Bear Ice CreamThe polar bear has been in existence for many many years. The ice cream is absolutely delicious. There are many varieties of hard and soft ice cream available. There are two picnic tables that you can sit at If you don’t wish to eat in your car or take home with you.
